Why Treat with Plexr?

Plexr is an effective alternative to various surgical procedures, such as upper & lower eyelid correction, eyebrow lift and neck lift. The big advantage of Plexr over a surgical procedure is that no scars are created and that the skin does not become thinner but rather thicker. Plexr uses the self-healing capacity of the body to create a beautiful lift and rejuvenation without scars! Eyelid correction without surgery, stitches or scars.

The Treatment

It is important that you do not wear makeup or mascara on the day of the Plexr treatment. Thirty minutes before treatment, an anesthetic cream is applied to the area to be treated. After your health has been mapped out, photos have been taken and the consent form has been completed, treatment with Plexr can begin. The treatment is performed by one of our trained dermal clinicians and takes approximately 15 minutes per zone.

Natural Result

Why does a Plexr treatment give a natural result? This is because you see exactly what happens during the treatment. You "dissolve" as it were the piece of skin that causes the skin sagging in this area. What you see is what you get. During the treatment with Plexr you can decide for yourself whether you want to tighten certain areas or whether the result is sufficient. This very direct way of working guarantees a natural result.

Before and After Treatment

For the treatment

Before the treatment: Before all Plexr treatments we schedule a complimentary consultation and then we book in the treatment. We ask you to arrive 30 minutes before the treatment, so that we can prepare the area with an anaesthetic cream. In consultation with your doctor, stop taking any blood-thinning medication such as Ibuprofen.

After treatment

Its important to stay out of the sun for the first week after a Plexr treatment and then to protect the area well with sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight for at least 6 weeks. Do not wet the area during the first 48 hours. Avoid direct contact with the treated area (do not pick crusts), and its recommended not to apply makeup on the treated area until the scabs have fallen off.

Recovery Time

In the first week you may have scabs form and it will be clearly visible that you have had a treatment. After the scabs have fallen off, you can often suffer from redness for several weeks, in some cases this redness will last longer. You can camouflage this redness with makeup.

Atypical Results

In some cases, a second treatment with Plexr is necessary. The result is permanent, until skin sagging has resumed due to normal ageing.

Plexr is the most secure "laser" treatment there is. Where other lasers often get into deep skin layers, which can cause problems such as scar formation and depigmentation. Plexr only works in superficial skin. Thanks to a unique after-treatment gel from the brand Algologie you have a faster recovery and you can return to work earlier.

How does Plexr work?

Plexr works on the basis of plasma that is created as a result of ionized gas molecules. As soon as the energy bundle comes into contact with the skin, a point arc with charged plasma is created. In response to this touch, the skin fibers contract and a lifting effect is created. The Plexr provides a biostimulation in the deeper skin layers, which results in a new production of collagen and elastin fibers.

For which areas can Plexr be used?

Plexr is not only suitable for skin tightening around the eyes, but can also be used to reduce wrinkles in the areas of the cheeks, mouth and neck.

Is Plexr always better than an eyelid correction?

No, this is not the case. If there is also a surplus of fat in the area to be treated, it may be better to perform a conventional eyelid correction.

Is Plexr a "lunchtime treatment"?

No, Plexr is not a lunchtime treatment. You will take about a week to recover. The scabs will fall off after a week and the redness that initially develops is easy to camouflage.

Can I combine Plexr with a filler treatment?

The correct order is first Plexr and then a filler. If there is already a filler present in the area that you want to treat with Plexr, come by for a complimentary  and commitment free consultation.

How long does the result of a Plexr treatment last?

The result of a Plexr treatment is permanent, although the normal aging process will continue and ultimately cause sagging. You can delay this process by optimizing certain lifestyle factors. The following factors will speed up the aging process: smoking, sunlight and poor skin care. Sometimes a second Plexr treatment is needed for an optimum result.

What are the side effects and risks of a Plexr treatment?

The side effects of a Plexr treatment in the first weeks after treatment can include: swelling (1-3 days), red skin (2-4 weeks) and scabs (7 days) on the treated area. Also be careful with sun exposure after your Plexr treatment. You will receive post-treatment protocol to follow after your treatment, please follow this carefully. Because the Plexr remains in the superficial skin layers, no permanent damage can be done to the skin, as with other laser treatments.

Am I suitable for Plexr treatment?

As with most cosmetic treatments, the minimum age is 18 years old and we do not treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Some dark skin types are not suitable for Plexr treatment.

What are the benefits of Plexr treatment vs surgery (eyelid correction)?

The advantages of Plexr treatment compared to surgery are that it is cheaper and you do not get scarring. Finally, with a Plexr treatment, the skin is firmed, while with an operative eyelid correction the skin actually becomes thinner.
